The right provider matters

Advanced expertise. A clear path forward.

Choosing the right provider matters, especially when pain keeps returning or previous treatment hasn't delivered the improvement you hoped for.

Dr. Roberts, DC graduated summa cum laude and as valedictorian from Western States Chiropractic College. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and is a Diplomate in Chiropractic Neurology, with additional experience in strength and conditioning.

That background brings together an understanding of spinal mechanics, nerve function, and physical performance. Your evaluation considers how joints, muscles, nerves, and movement patterns may be contributing to your symptoms — and what you need to regain function.

You can expect clear explanations, thoughtful treatment recommendations, and a plan connected to your goals.

What we treat

Common spine conditions we evaluate and treat

We provide conservative care for a range of back and neck problems, including:

  • Low back pain: Recent episodes, recurring flare-ups, and persistent discomfort.
  • Neck pain and stiffness: Difficulty turning your head, discomfort with desk work, and restricted movement.
  • Sciatica and lumbar radiculopathy: Pain, tingling, or numbness extending into the buttock or leg.
  • Cervical radiculopathy: Neck-related symptoms traveling into the shoulder, arm, or hand.
  • Disc-related pain: Symptoms associated with disc irritation, bulging discs, or herniation when conservative care is appropriate.
  • Degenerative spinal conditions: Pain and movement limitations associated with arthritis, spondylosis, and degenerative disc changes.
  • Sacroiliac joint-related pain: Discomfort around the pelvis, low back, or buttock.
  • Mid-back and rib joint pain: Symptoms associated with restricted movement, strain, or mechanical irritation.
  • Whiplash and spinal strains: Neck and back injuries following a collision or other physical stress.
  • Headaches associated with neck dysfunction: Including cervicogenic headaches.
  • Activity-related spinal pain: Problems affecting lifting, running, gardening, training, or everyday movement.

Similar symptoms can have different causes. Your examination helps determine whether care in our office is appropriate or whether additional imaging or specialist evaluation is needed.

Find the problem first

Treatment starts with diagnostic clarity

Effective care begins with a careful history and examination. We assess spinal movement, strength, nerve function, and the activities that reproduce your symptoms. We also consider how your hips, shoulders, and other regions may influence the demands placed on your spine.

When indicated, imaging can help answer specific clinical questions. Diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound may help evaluate accessible muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues when these contribute to the problem. X-rays or MRI may be appropriate for questions involving spinal bones, discs, or nerve compression.

Our goal is to connect your symptoms with meaningful clinical findings so you understand what we're treating and why.

An integrated approach to spine care

Several tools, working together

Your recovery may require several tools working together. At Sierra Spine & Fitness, we select and coordinate treatments according to your diagnosis, tolerance, and response.

Chiropractic care and manual therapy

Chiropractic adjustments, joint mobilization, and soft-tissue techniques may be used to improve movement and help reduce pain. Treatment is tailored to your presentation. The technique, intensity, and pace of care reflect your comfort, examination findings, and stage of recovery.

Rehabilitation that builds lasting capacity

Rehabilitation helps turn improved comfort into stronger, more dependable movement. Your program may include targeted mobility work, trunk endurance, spinal stabilization, hip and shoulder strengthening, and practice with everyday movements such as bending, lifting, and carrying. Exercises progress with your ability — building the strength, coordination, and tolerance you need for work, recreation, and daily life.

Regenerative therapies and modern technology

Our office offers focused and radial shockwave therapy, EMTT, and red and infrared laser therapy as potential additions to appropriate treatment plans. Depending on the condition, these therapies may address pain or contributing musculoskeletal tissues alongside chiropractic care and exercise. Dr. Roberts selects these tools for a specific clinical purpose — they complement a broader recovery plan; they do not replace the strength and movement work needed to restore function.

Focused & Radial Shockwave

Acoustic energy that stimulates the body's natural repair processes in chronically irritated tendon, fascia, and joint tissue.

EMTT

Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy uses rapidly changing electromagnetic fields to interact with tissue at the cellular level.

Laser Therapy

Red and infrared light energy to support cellular activity, circulation, and modulation of pain and inflammation.

Chiropractic Care

Hands-on adjustments, joint mobilization, and soft-tissue work tailored to your presentation and stage of recovery.

What success looks like

Focused on meaningful improvement

Success should show up in your life: sleeping more comfortably, sitting through a workday, walking farther, lifting with confidence, or returning to activities you enjoy.

We assess progress through changes in pain, movement, strength, and daily function. Your response helps guide the next step — whether that means progressing exercise, adjusting treatment, or recommending further evaluation.

Find the problem. Treat it thoughtfully. Build back stronger.
